We’re making designing jewelry easy and fun. Using our Computer Aided Design System, (C.A.D.), we can design your idea showing you a finished piece of the medal of your choice. No Surprises.
Love your wedding set or another favorite item that is worn out? Have an engagement ring and can’t find the wedding band that fits correctly? We can recreate your favorite item or fit a band to an existing engagement ring.
Supplying gold and stones give you instant savings. Using the C.A.D. allows us to create correct channels or stone arrangements to fit the stones you already have. If you don’t have any, no problem, we can supply whatever is needed.
Brad has received special training on working with the C.A.D. program. Dan and Monte have over 50 years combined experience of creating jewelry.
First, we need to know what you want. Through a process of question and answer, and some sketches well narrow down what your item will look like. If you have stones you want to use, well help identify matching stones, good stones, and some you may not want in a new item of jewelry.
Using the guidelines from our concept we design the new item of jewelry calibrated for the stones. We use Matrix 7 C.A.D. (Computer Aided Design) software for all our custom design. This is the most powerful jewelry design software available. When the design is finished we use powerful rendering software for a life like photo of the finished item. Now you can see what it will look like before it is made. If any changes need to be made we can tweak the design and make a new photo.
Now you have approved the design we send it to our Revo Mill. The Revo mill is a state of the art mill using a 0.004” 10 degree bit on hard carving wax. Once we have the ring cut out we give the wax a polish and check it over for any finishing needed by hand.
After we're happy with the wax we attach it to a flask, fill the flask with investment. We vacuum the flask to remove any air bubbles from the investment. After the investment drys, we burn out the wax and set it to a casting temperature. We use an induction casting machine to remove oxygen from the melted metal. An oxygen free casting gives us a strong, smooth casting.
The casting is quenched in room temperate water to keep the metal soft and malleable. Now we remove all extra gold from attaching the item to the flask. File and polish all surfaces, and drill any holes for stone setting. All stones are now set in the mounting, we use a pneumatic hammer for channel set and bezel set stones, this allows us to move a lot of gold for a secure setting and have lots of control for a straight setting. After all, settings are soldered on and stones are set its one last polish.
